Last year I was going to make this St. Patrick’s Day banner but ran out of time. This year I got it done EARLY!

I found the banner instructions here and last year I made the Valentine and Thanksgiving ones.
The instructions call for sewing the squares onto the main banner piece and then the decoration onto the squares. If you look at the Valentine and Thanksgiving ones I did, my squares wound up out of shape by the time everything was sewn on.
This time I sewed the blanket stitches around the squares and then sewed the shamrocks and buttons onto the squares.

When all the sewing was done, I placed my squares on the banner to my liking. Then very carefully I picked up each section, one by one, and spread my trusty white craft glue on the back of the square then stuck it back into the spot on the banner. MUCH BETTER! It still looks like everything was sewn onto the banner but this time the squares are ----SQUARE!
I had white ribbon with shamrocks printed on them that I used for the hanger. Then I doubled up buttons to cover were I sewed the ribbon on. (I doubled the buttons because I liked both sets and couldn’t decide which ones to use so I used both. LoL)
